Made right here on the Little Farm, our skincare line, including our very popular tallow whips, offer a blend of high quality ingredients and unique essential oil blends..  We specifically have chosen to only create with 100% grassfed and organic tallows.  We also use organic oils such as Rose Hip, Avocado, Olive, Emu, Jojoba, and Bachuchi as well essential oils that are USDA Certified organic and steam distilled. 

This year we will fire up our gorgeous copper steam distiller using our own flowers.

What is tallow and fewer ingredients?  Tallow is an old world and very effective moisturizer, providing many skin health benefits.  And it’s sustainable, making it an excellent choice for skincare enthusiasts looking for a more eco-conscious and skin-nourishing product with just three simple ingredients; tallow, essential oils, and other fabulous fats like Rose Hip oil and most recently Emu Oil and Bachuchi.  Other than Vitamin E, we don't use any preservatives.  

Our products are intentionally packaged in all things truly recyclable.  No plastic packaging!  Lip, natural deodorant, and Moody Sticks come in cool paper tubes or metal tins. Our Whips come in glass jars with a metal cap.  Our serums We use the least amount of shipping material to ensure your purchase arrives in perfect shape with the least amount of burden on paper based resources.  You don't want to pay for fancy packaging.  You want to pay for high quality skincare.  See below for detailed information on the benefits of tallow, how to use our products - a little goes a long way - and answers to frequently asked questions.

The Benefits of Tallow

Moisturizing and Hydrating:

• Natural Emollient: Tallow is rich in fatty acids, particularly oleic, palmitic, and stearic acids, which help to moisturize and hydrate the skin. 
• Locks in Moisture: These fatty acids help to lock in moisture, leaving the skin feeling soft, supple, and hydrated. 
• Balances Skin's Natural Oils: Tallow mimics the skin's natural oils, helping to regulate sebum production and prevent dryness or greasiness. 
• Ideal for Dry or Sensitive Skin: Its gentle, moisturizing nature makes it particularly beneficial for dry, sensitive, and eczema-prone skin. 

Nourishment and Repair:

• Rich in Vitamins: Tallow based skincare has a good source of vitamins A, D, E, and K, which are essential for skin health and regeneration. 
• Promotes Skin Regeneration: These vitamins aid in repairing damaged skin cells and promoting a youthful appearance. 
• Anti-Inflammatory and Soothing: Tallow contains anti-inflammatory compounds like conjugated linoleic acid (CLA), which may help to reduce inflammation and soothe irritated skin.

How to Apply and Use Our Tallow Based Skincare

Whips - creamy and light, a little goes a long way.  

• Use like a lotion for both face and body

Non-nano Zinc Cream -  use on face and body to enjoy the calming benefits of Zinc.  

• This fabulous cream can be used on face and body.  Less is more.  Warm between your fingers and pat on face and then continue to gently rub in for deep moisturizing and calming benefits of zinc.  Carol, who is out in the sun and wind working on the farm, uses this cream morning and night as part of her skincare ritual.  It calms down her naturally red and ruddy complesion so much, she doesn't need to use foundation.  
• We do not test for the SPF of this product, so as a backup use another sunblock to ensure you get the sunscreen protection you want. 

Salves - deep penetrating relief from dry skin and cuticles and sore muscles. A little goes a long way.  

• Use our salves as a deep penetrating and healing salve for rough spots on knees and elbows and cuticles. 

Moody Sticks

• Use just like you would perfume, but without synthetic fragrances.  Rub on wrists or on neck on the regular.  Each of our five Moody Sticks, evoke a different mood. 

Magnesium Spray - multiple uses all in one really affordable re-usable bottle!

• Lightly spray on hair to texturize
• Use as a natural deodorant
• Spray on sore muscles or the bottom of your feet to aid sleep.

Hair and Body Oil - deep penetrating yummy oils.  A little goes a long way.  Too greasy, use less.

• Rub a little between your fingers and into ends of hair and then the remaining deep into your roots.  Too greasy, use less!
• Rub into particularly chaffed or dry skin, cuticles, and elbows, feet and heals.
