Step into the world of Flower Crowns, Living Jewelry, Living Tattoos and Meadow Bouquets! Starting July 13th, The Little Farm is offering a series of workshops at the Little Barn on our picturesque farm on Orcas Island. Local floral artists Cindy Morgan and Carol Wetzel to design unique opportunities for you to learn while utilizing the beautiful flowers from The Little Farm. Our workshops are intimate affairs. Enjoy a glass of wine with a group of friends or like-minded participants while learning about the farm, its flowers, and how to utilize those flowers to make a variety of floral creations.

Summer Flower Crowns!
July 13th Saturday from 9:00AM to Noon
This class is for you whether you want to just use your creativity while playing with flowers or if you want to further your floral techniques or both! Learn to create a glorious headpiece.
Our Orcas Island Original, Cindy Morgan, will touch on the basic elements of flower crown design and more specifically will cover how to successfully create a wearable floral headpiece. Participants will create a strong base for the headpiece and implement reliable techniques to attach the flowers ensuring they will stay looking fresh. All tools and supplies will be provided. Just bring a playful mind and let the joy of working with flowers cultivate your creativity.

Saturday Meadow Bouquet Design
July 20th and 27th from 10AM to Noon is our first scheduled Meadow Bouquet workshops! We will add more dates as workshops fill up.
By midsummer, the wild range of annuals in Carol’s garden beds and perennials such as pee-gee hydrangeas, lavender, roses, nine-bark and a host of annuals are beginning to peak. Learn to combine these beauties in meadow-style arrangements using a compote vase and then learn how to hang and dry these same flowers for winter color in your home.

Great for bridal parties or just for the fun of it, beginning July 24th and 31st, sign up for an evening Wine and Flowers held at the Little Farm’s Barn.
This unique workshop features gorgeous seasonal blooms from the Little Farm’s gardens and a chance to relax with a glass of wine while you learn to design your very own Living Jewelry piece or Tattoo. After learning design principles, participants will wander the Farm to You Pick a curated selection of flowers for their creation or choose from a selection from Carol’s flower bar. These workshops will elaborate on techniques to create living jewelry creations that can be worn for a special occasion the next day or wear it home! Take it easy with a fun night of wine and flowers!
