The top three benefits of a French green clay mask are its ability to deeply cleanse pores by drawing out impurities, its effectiveness in absorbing excess oil to reduce shine, and its power to gently exfoliate the skin, which leads to a smoother and brighter complexion.
1. Deeply cleanses and detoxifies
The clay acts like a magnet, pulling out dirt, oil, and toxins from deep within the pores to prevent clogs and breakouts.
This deep cleaning process leaves skin feeling refreshed and looking clearer.
2. Absorbs excess oil
French green clay has strong oil-absorbing properties, making it ideal for oily, combination, and acne-prone skin.
It helps to mattify the skin and control shine without stripping it of all its natural moisture, which can lead to an overproduction of oil.
3. Gently exfoliates and refines skin texture
As the clay dries, it creates a mild exfoliating effect that sloughs off dead skin cells.
This process helps to reveal smoother, brighter skin underneath and can help minimize the appearance of pores over time.
How to use: Use a brush to paint on a thin layer on clean dry skin and then go relax for 8 minutes. Don't let the mask completely dry on your face. Wash off with warm water and pat your skin dry.
This mask is made with distilled Water, Apricot Kernal Oil, Avocado Oil, skin loving emulsifying wax, bentonite clay, french green clay, tea tree oil, ginseng extract, and a little skin loving optiphen to keep it shelf stable. Any time we add water to a product, it needs some sort of preservative to keep it fresh.

Is tallow soap and skincare suitable for all skin types?
Yes, tallow is generally well-tolerated by all skin types, including sensitive and acne-prone skin.
Does tallow have a strong scent?
No, if rendered properly, tallow typically has a mild and natural scent that's not overpowering.
Is tallow skincare environmentally friendly?
Yes, tallow is biodegradable and environmentally sustainable, making it a great choice for eco-conscious consumers.
We also avoid putting our tallow skincare products into plastic. Our products come in biodegradable paper tubes or glass jars that can be recycled.
Can tallow skincare help with skin conditions like eczema?
While individual results may vary, some users have reported improvements in their skin conditions after using tallow based skincare.
Is there Lye in our soaps?
We do not use lye in our shampoo bars because we want just the right PH for hair. Our tallow face and body bar soaps are made using lye as it's a critical part of the soap making process. After saponification, the chemical reaction that turns oils and lye into soap, no lye remains in our soaps. We also "super fat" our soaps, so that not all the fats have gone through that chemical reaction with the lye, further enriching our soaps with moisturizing fabulousness. After six weeks of curing, yes we let our soaps cure that long, the result is a gentle, natural soap that is safe and nourishing for your skin.
Where do you source your tallow?
We source our 100% grass-fed and grass-finished beef tallow from US farms. We also use pasture raised goat and sheep tallow from farmers here on Orcas Island. We render all locally sourced tallows here on the farm to further purify our products and ensure the least amount of pressure on the environment and we control the purity of our products. By sourcing tallow locally, we support beloved local farmers on our beautiful island.
