You-pick and Flower Bar
We are excited to offer a variety of fun ways for you to select and cut your own flowers and leave with your own stunning creation. You-pick bouquets are a fabulous way to experience the farm while gifting yourself with a bouquet!
The Little Sweet Pea Patch: Check in at the farm stand to purchase a ticket to enter the Little Sweet Pea Patch. You will borrow or buy sanitized flower snips and a cup to hold your flowers. Then you can head on over to the Sweet Pea Patch where you can cut a stunning bouquet of sweet peas and other annual flowers. Supervised children are allowed as every little person should experience the joy of flowers. Kindly, no dogs are allowed.
The Big Little Hoop: as you walk through our farm stand, you will enter our hoop house nursery and you-pick of higher-end flowers such as giant zinnias, dahlias, gladiolas, chrysanthemums, and more! Because of the nature of these flowers and the need to pick them just right for future growth, you-pick in the Big Little Hoop is only for adults.
The Little Farm on Olga Road: Tour the farm and enjoy a private you-pick from our farm’s bounty! Purchase a farm tour/you-pick ticket to enter the farm to you-pick perennials and annuals to your delight! Snips and cups are provided. These are scheduled events with more information here.
Flower Bar: select freshly cut flowers from galvanized steel buckets right out of our Gem electric truck! Select from a variety of freshly cut perennials to create your own meadow bouquet or annuals to create your own market bouquet.
Market Bouquets: Also from the Flower Gem Bar, grab and go with a stunning market bouquet made fresh each morning.
Plant Theater
Plant theater is any stunning collection of potted-up perennials or annuals that creates an instant magnificent garden. Plant theaters can dress up a patio or porch that you will find all over the farm. To make your own plant theater, we are excited to offer a huge variety of terracotta pots in an array of colors and styles. The Big Little Farm Stand will offer a selection of pre-made plant theaters that can be purchased individually or in collections or choose to make your own!
Visitors and locals will also enjoy the opportunity to purchase hanging baskets, dripping with trailing lobelia, flowering vines, Creeping Jenny, calibrachoa, and other colorful displays of annuals and perennials. Their own type of plant theater, The Big Little Farm Stand will also offer herb and sedum collections in curated terracotta, and bulb bowls, and seed pans.

The Little Nursery
Recently, our beloved local nursery closed, but the need for perennial and annual plants continues to grow as locals and visitors nurture their own gorgeous gardens. Carol is busy growing a limited selection of annuals and perennials and potting them up, while tending and nurturing their growth. Dedicated to growing all her plant offerings from seed and small plugs, Carol will expand her offerings each year.
Growing plants from seed takes time, sheltered dedicated space, carefully crafted soils, watering, and tending. Carol uses organic fertilizers and her own compost tea to grow strong and healthy plants that are never root-bound. Plan on spending more for Carol’s healthy plants than you might off-island at a big box store.
Living on an island is expensive and sourcing materials such as clean compost and mulch is even more expensive. Carol and Allan also believe in paying a living wage to the locals who help them work the farm. When you purchase plants grown locally, you are supporting the farm and investing in the health and well-being of our community. Our plants are of the highest quality and locally grown. Enjoy the convenience of purchasing plants on beautiful Orcas Island, while making a positive impact on the local economy.
Fresh Eggs and Little Farm Offerings
Our farm-stand eggs are a beacon of farm-fresh goodness, welcoming you to experience the simple pleasure of gathering your eggs straight from the source. Our hens and one rooster enjoy a large run and clean coop where they are safe from the many bald eagles that soar over our farm.
Vegetables, Herbs, Berries, and Fruit
We have a dedicated hoop house on the farm where we grow a variety of seasonal vegetables, like beefy tomatoes, and herbs. This is year two for our Little Berry Patch, but we hope to be able to harvest Goji berries, blackberries, raspberries, strawberries, loganberries, table grapes, hardy kiwis! You name it, we are probably growing it. Our orchard trees are just babies but we will offer plums, pears, and apples from our friends across the street at the Inn at Shipbay!
Farm-Made Soy Candles
During the dark nights of winter on Orcas Island, Allan and Carol learned how to make organic soy-based candles, which we now offer at our Farm Stand! Enjoy unique scent blends in a beautifully crafted vessel. Scents change each week as we create new blends.
Farm Merch
Bring home a little bit of the Little Farm on Olga Road. We offer T-shirts, hats, tea towels, and totes, all with the Little Farmunique logo and bylines such as, “I’m out of my bloomin’ mind!” and “Lovin’ the dirty life!”
